Representation, like the fruit of a pagan harvest

The performance is of course an important part of the stage creation machine

It allows the work produced upstream to be suddenly in contact with a reality multiplied by the number and variety of its representatives. By bringing together the energy of a team and that of the group of spectators, the performance thus plays its role as a clutch, just like the rehearsal between the designer and the performers beforehand. The performance, like the clutch, is therefore a temporary coupling device between a shaft called the motor and another called the receiver; between a stage and an audience.

In the case of motor vehicles, the clutch is located in the transmission chain between the engine and the gearbox, where, in addition, the torque to be transmitted is the lowest*.

The uncoupling also makes it easier to change gears.
