Fencing Diary J-49

I am continuing with my "cartridges", started last night.

Planned from the beginning of the project, these "cartridges" are not in the sense of ammunition (although one might wonder) but in the sense of the frames with rounded corners surrounding the names of pharaohs in ancient inscriptions. A way of highlighting the concept of a phrase that I find particularly poetic. Having started a few years ago, by drawing similar shapes inside which I inscribed words. Having also cut out rigid materials, I finally ended up with simple signs bearing sentences of my own and kept only the name, abandoning the illustrative form of the original inspiration. The function is nonetheless the same, and as this diary within the blog is devoted to the stages of the creation of the Parques d'attraction that remain for me until D-day, I mention it here because I would like to make it clear in what way there is, apart from the apparent flashiness of the imagery of my shows, a preoccupation with a spatial transposition of the writing. The words are spoken by the mouths of course, but they are also read off the walls, heard by voices other than those of the actors thanks to the participation of the audience, and catch the eye like road signs hanging in factories. The idea is to constantly harpoon the brain with a set of meanings, in all directions. A way of massaging the mind, of softening the unknown cortexes to prepare them and make them sensitive to my own poetry, which is purely scenic and composed of all the elements in place. Putting aphorisms - synthetic slogans - from my head in this way is like creating the advertisement for my walls; inviting the passer-by to put down his trunks, to observe and why not, to lie down or wriggle for a moment in this "Second life" that he contributes to creating.

Captivated by wildlife and nature since childhood, I believe that I have the desire to encourage populations to acclimatise and reproduce within the limits of my reserve.
