"Les Puritains" is a show written and directed by a young man, David Noir, who studied biology, architecture and cinema... Is it any wonder then that the "Exhibition" of the body is at the centre of his work? The discourse, however, is not in vain. There is no question of showing for the sake of showing, there is a desire to make the viewer grasp the different nuances of the nude. From childish curiosity to pornography, it is a question of rehabilitating the spectators' excitement, banished from standard scenes, referred to the X-rated or certain Pigalle cabarets. Eight men and one woman embody the history of our impulses and desires... "My tense hand works, and plays like a porn video "harder" on my colour screen, Comes back before my eyes the time of my holidays, Strikes the balloons to the skies of the beaches of my childhood, Pushes the transistor to play its romance, And makes me see Sylvie running out of gas. Then the memory capsizes, I lose the memory of the animals of the zoo, of the car rides, My modesty arrives, my puberty arrives, Fear arrives too, and the fire of regrets... ".
