Stopping the performances of the Righteous

The performances of the show The just story by David Noir, scheduled until 29 June 2001 at the Petit espace Cardin in Paris, have been interrupted since 12 June. After five performances, Pierre Cardin decided that, for moral reasons and to preserve his image and his responsibilities within various associations (notably his commitment against paedophilia?!?), it was no longer possible to have his name associated with such a show. The artistic team of Just had to leave the theatre on 12 June (Mr Cardin having decided the day before to stop the show). It's not fair: we had seen and enjoyed his previous play, The Puritansand had to attend the Just Thursday 14 June. To be continued, on lesinrocks.com, the interview with David Noir. (14 June 2001)
