"This proposal is based on an unchanging premise: to look away from what fascinates and shapes one's personality in spite of oneself.

Description

Looking away is the very principle of theatre, without which it would be impossible to play a situation that offends our codes and morals.

It would be illusory and unfounded to aim at modifying our reactions radically or according to our own will. Through childhood traumas and more or less accepted habits, there is no doubt that what forges our temperaments based on fears and conquests, will assert itself from the first manipulation. The ambition of these sessions is certainly less, but concrete.

Distracting for a moment, then each time in a more durable and recurrent way, the vigilance of our superego is a feasible thing.

Method

It is a matter of amplifying this context, even if it means having no reference points at all for a few hours, so as to cling to new external injunctions formulated through images, phrases, contacts and various fantasies.

No longer belonging to oneself completely, offering oneself, serving as material for others, finding oneself in contact with all sorts of bodies, physical and mental textures... the playful environments will follow one another without interruption in order to make possible the confusion necessary for the emergence of the involuntary behaviours sought and which must lead quite naturally to the Performance.

None of these proposals will be compulsory, but the multiplicity of requests will be constant in order to create the most uncontrolled reactivity possible.

The use of variously soiled foodstuffs in the game means that it is necessary to wear clothing that can be irreparably stained, including underwear. Aprons will also be provided. These sessions do not include a break and therefore run continuously from the moment the participants enter the room, which of course does not exclude the possibility of having something to eat during the game.
