Dressing up, disguising oneself, appearing with pleasure under a mask, since one is no longer a child, is not so simple. As an adult, we inherit a social mask, that's all. It's not even certain that you really make it yourself. Inventing an identity from scratch means laying the foundations of a personal mythology, not subject to the diktat of a work, so that the character becomes a work in itself.
